Joomla Template Blog

Joomla and WordPress the way to go

The two different types of Joomla templates are back end templates and front end templates. While they both are used to define the format and style of a website, their difference lies in who is doing the viewing of the website. Webmasters, editors and administrators are some of the very few people who are able to access the back end when they are logged into their accounts. What visitors see when they are stopping in or even logged in is always the front end side of the website.

Joomla and WordPress are great web platforms that will allow for dynamic web optimization. A wide variety of websites are using them, because they offer excellent support, extensions and various templates. However they do have some notable differences.

Joomla is a universal content management system (CMS), which means that it creates websites but it has no specialty in particular. WordPress, on the other hand is an optimized blogging platform. You can choose a WordPress theme that specializes not only in creating blogs but adding posts as well. Of course it is possible to create a website with WordPress and to create a blog with Joomla, but it would be comparable to writing a document in Excel and creating a spreadsheet in Word. While both would be possible, they are each dedicated to their own specialty.

WordPress is great for beginners and if you can find a Joomla template then it is also a great option for newbies. As with any new thing though you need to learn the basics and get accustomed to the user interface. The web offers numerous online tutorials as well as support. Since they are supported systems, if you happen upon a problem, you can simply google it.

Since Joomla is an open source software program it can be difficult to find a Joomla template. Almost anyone can write extensions and variations of it, which has caused the market to be flooded with everything Joomla. There are so many styles out there that finding the right fit for you can take up a lot of your time and energy and possibly cause you some minor frustration.

With many different Joomla and WordPress themes out there, it is helpful to understand the different formats. Joomla for instance comes in two formats: back end designs and front end designs. Clan themes, flash designs and eCommerce styles are just some that are out there, so finding your special design may be time consuming.

It is these themes that will allow you the ultimate web optimization you desire. Front end themes are the overall style, feel and layout that your visitors will see, while the webmaster works with the back end design aspect upon account login. All in all it boils down to finding a front end Joomla template that will enhance your website as well as a back end template that allows ease of use.
